City of Evanston issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.
As part of efforts to engage the Evanston community in the Fiscal Year 2020-21 Budget process, the City of Evanston will host three Community Budget Roundtable Discussions in September. This year, the City will prepare a two-year budget for Fiscal Year 2020 and 2021 in order to aid long-term planning.
The meetings will include a brief overview of the City’s budget process followed by small group table discussions. Input gathered at the meetings will be compiled and provided to City Council as part of the City's Proposed Budget on Friday, October 4.
Meetings will be held:
Tuesday, September 17, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
J.E.H. Education Center, 1500 McDaniel Ave.
Thursday, September 19, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Main Evanston Public Library, Community Room (1st floor), 1703 Orrington Ave.
Saturday, September 21, noon to 2 p.m.
Levy Senior Center, 300 Dodge Ave.
A Spanish translator will be available at meetings on September 17 and September 19. All meetings will have an activity table for children.
