Northbrook Elementary School District 27 recently issued the following announcement.
At the end of each school year, students in Ms. Quick's first grade classroom invite their parents to participate in a game called, "Are You as Smart as First Grader?"
The students stand in front of the parents and one-by-one ask the parents questions about topics they've studied during the year. The parents are asked to write down their questions.
Here a few of the questions:
Q. What is the name of the weather tool that measures wind speed?
A. Anemometer
Q. How many sides and corners does a trapezoid have?
A. 8
The students then graded their parent's papers, resulting in a lot of giggles and smiles. In the end, the parents missed a few questions, but everyone had a great time. The activity ended with the students sharing their portfolios with their parents.
