2018 Recap: Parolees in Des Plaines convicted of crimes against justice

There were two offenders convicted of crimes against justice released on parole in Des Plaines during 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the North Cook News.

The data shows that a man and woman were released in Des Plaines. The younger parolee was a 34-year-old man sentenced in 2017. The other was a 56-year-old woman sentenced in 2017.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Marybeth Salvatore. She was convicted of a crime against justice in 2017 when she was 54 years old. She is now 56.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in 2018 who were convicted of crimes against justice.
