Illinois General Assembly: HB1581 actions on May 16

The following actions were taken on May 16 in the House on House bill HB1581 ("creditcard marketing taskforce"): "Passed Both Houses", "Third Reading - Passed", "Added as Alternate Chief Co-Sponsor Sen. Jacqueline Y. Collins" and "Added as Alternate Co-Sponsor Sen. Elgie R. Sims, Jr.".

The bill, as it was introduced in the House by Rep. Sue Scherer (D-96) on Jan. 30, "amends the Credit Card Marketing Act of 2009" and "creates the College Student Credit Card Marketing and Debt Task Force," according to the General Assembly website.

The following senators co-sponsored the bill: Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant (D-49), Jacqueline Y. Collins (D-16), Laura Ellman (D-21), Ann Gillespie (D-27), Emil Jones, III (D-14), Elgie R. Sims, Jr. (D-17) and Steve Stadelman (D-34).
