City of Evanston issued the following announcement on May 1.
Due to the Monday, June 10 makeup day for Evanston Township High School District 202, Evanston summer camps originally scheduled to start on June 10 will instead begin on Tuesday, June 11.
To assist community members seeking childcare on June 10, the City is offering free drop-in programming for children ages 6 to 12 years old from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Chandler-Newberger Community Center, 1028 Central St., and Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster St.
Registration is required; visit cityofevanston.org/register or call/text 847-448-4311.
Community members should register for activity number 622901-A9 for Chandler-Newberger Center programs and activity number 422901-A9 for Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center programs.
Participants should bring their own lunch on June 10.
In addition, all Evanston public swimming beaches will be free on Monday, June 10.
