Village of Arlington Heights Committee-of-the-Whole met March 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

President Hayes called the meeting to order at 7:45 PM.

Mayor Hayes; Trustees Baldino, Blackwood, LaBedz, Padovani, Rosenberg, Scaletta, Sidor, Tinaglia

Brian Harrison

A. Interview of Brian Harrison for appointment to the Commission for Citizens with Disabilities -term ending 4/30/2021

Mayor Hayes introduced Brian Harrison and stated he comes highly recommended. Discussion ensued with Brian Harrison and the Trustees. The Trustees asked what Mr. Harrison would like see improved for those within the village that have disabilities. Mr. Harrison stated that he would like to see additional curb bumps added at crosswalks and that he would like to see handicapped cabs available with a lift for those with wheelchairs.

The Trustees thanked Mr. Harrison for his willingness to serve and look forward to his involvement.

Trustee Scaletta moved to concur in the Mayor’s appointment of Brian Harrison to the Commission for Citizens with Disabilities – term ending 4/30/21. Trustee Baldino seconded the motion.

THE FOLLOWING VOICE VOTE WAS RECORDED: 9 AYES 0 NAYS

The motion passed.

B. OTHER BUSINESS – There was no further business. C. ADJOURNMENT

Trustee Scaletta moved, and Trustee Padovani seconded the motion to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 7:56 p.m.
