governor candidate Daniel Biss returns $1,500 contribution from Michael Spertus

The campaign committee of governor candidate Daniel Biss, Biss for Illinois, returned a $1,500 contribution from Michael Spertus on Jan. 16, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Spertus has not made any other contributions to Daniel Biss in the past 12 months.
