The campaign committee of governor candidate Daniel Biss, Biss for Illinois, returned a $180 contribution from Marian Michaels on Jan. 14, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Michaels has not made any other contributions to Daniel Biss in the past 12 months.
