Unpaid fines for Evanston-based campaign committees totaled $56,455 in August 2018

Campaign committees in Evanston collectively owe a total of $56,455 in fines, according to records obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that five committees in Evanston were delinquent in payment for August 2018.

The Evanston-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Millennial Action Committee, which owes a total of $15,775.

The committee has been fined for failure to file and a late quarterly report.
