Democratic Gerald Cleary's election campaign committee, Friends for Gerald Cleary, spent $18,366 in the first quarter, according to committee expenditure records obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

Cleary's committee spent the most on campaign work in the quarter, with all those payments ($4,000) going to KNI Communications in Chicago. Table 1 below shows the distribution of how Cleary's committee spent its money in the first quarter.
