MOUNT PROSPECT PARK DISTRICT: Mt. Prospect Park District names Jim Jarog new Executive Director

Mount Prospect Park District recently issued the following announcement.

The Mt. Prospect Park District Board of Commissioners voted Wednesday evening, February 13, 2019 to approve the hiring of Parks and Planning Director and current interim Executive Director, Jim Jarog to the position of Executive Director of the Mt. Prospect Park District beginning immediately. Jarog has served as interim Director since June 2018.

Jarog, a 34 year employee of the District, has served as the Director of Parks and Planning since 2012. He has overseen 450 acres of District grounds and facilities managing maintenance and repair, site development, land acquisition, grant implementation and infrastructure improvement programs. Jarog has worked on several large scale capital improvement projects including the renovation of the Central Community Center, Meadows Aquatic Center, Mt. Prospect Golf Clubhouse reconstruction as well as the redevelopment of the Mt. Prospect Golf Course.

Jarog is a 25 year resident of Mount Prospect and committed to serving District patrons. “I am honored and excited for the opportunity to serve as the next Executive Director of the Mt. Prospect Park District. I look forward to bringing positive recreation opportunities to the community. This great organization has been a huge part of my life over the past 34 years. As a village resident, it has been a pleasure to serve the community that has provided so many opportunities for me and my family. I am very excited to move forward with our dedicated Park Board and talented staff.”
