Schaumburg Park District issued the following announcement on Feb. 13.
Grab your little sports star and swing on over to Schaumburg Park District’s Father and Son: Sports of All Sorts Event, presented by Schaumburg Bank & Trust, a Wintrust Community Bank.
The event is set for 11 a.m. to noon, April 6 at Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way. Children ages 4 to 9 are invited to participate in friendly sports competitions with their dads.
“This event is a fun way for dads to spend quality time with their sons and teach them about teamwork and sportsmanship,” said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager and general program supervisor.
Participants also will enjoy a snack and make a craft to take home.
Cost is $10 per child for residents and $12 per child for non-residents. Registration for each child is required by April 5- fathers do not need to register.
