Q3 real estate sales report: Prospect Heights

Median prices declined in Prospect Heights over last year, and are down 6.4 percent over 10 years, adjusted for inflation, according to third quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From July to September, 66 homes sold in Prospect Heights for a median price of $226,750. That's 19.2 percent lower than median home sale prices for the third quarter of 2017.

In the third quarter, 2 homes in Prospect Heights were in foreclosure.

Median property tax for homeowners in Prospect Heights was $8,098.34 in 2017 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 2.9 percent of their home's value in taxes.
