Analysis: Ridgewood administrators rank 151st in state for average pay

Administrators in Ridgewood Community High School District 234 earn an average of $118,348 per year, ranking 151st out of 864 districts in the state, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 18.2% lower than in 2014 and 10.4% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 10.3% more than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Cook County school district enrolled 872 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 84 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
