Report: New Trier spent $25,665 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at New Trier Township High School District 203 is up 20.1 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $21,372 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $25,665 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 4206 to 3968.

New Trier's spending in 2017-18 was 92.4 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
