Report: Sunset Ridge spent $26,172 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Sunset Ridge School District 29 is up 12.5 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $23,255 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $26,172 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 480 to 485.

Sunset Ridge's spending in 2017-18 was 96.2 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
