Report: Skokie spent $16,107 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Skokie School District 73.5 is up 13.1 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $14,243 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $16,107 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1034 to 1102.

Skokie's spending in 2017-18 was 20.8 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
