Report: Skokie spent $15,289 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Skokie School District 68 is up 0.4 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $15,228 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $15,289 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1824 to 1882.

Skokie's spending in 2017-18 was 14.6 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
