Report: East Maine spent $13,095 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at East Maine School District 63 is up 20.2 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,890 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,095 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 3633 to 3463.

East Maine's spending in 2017-18 was 1.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
