Report: Kenilworth spent $24,386 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Kenilworth School District 38 is up 10.1 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $22,150 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $24,386 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 522 to 455.

Kenilworth's spending in 2017-18 was 82.8 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
