Report: West Northfield spent $21,728 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at West Northfield School District 31 is up 48.1 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $14,667 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $21,728 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 886 to 882.

West Northfield's spending in 2017-18 was 62.9 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
