Report: Mount Prospect spent $10,883 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Mount Prospect School District 57 is up 9.5 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $9,943 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,883 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 2231 to 2317.

Mount Prospect's spending in 2017-18 was 18.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
