Glenview Community Consolidated School District 34 recently issued the following announcement.
The District 34 Strategic Planning Team has met four times over the last four months. Team members have taken an in-depth look at staff, student, parent and community perceptions of D34 and their wishes for the future. They did a deep dive into data on the current state of our District, and have investigated educational trends, best practices and visionary ideas.
The outcome of their last meeting - the “Setting Direction Retreat” - is this draft strategic plan. The plan will guide the work of the District over the next five years. At the end of the life of the plan, everything the District does will clearly reflect the mission, vision and core values of the plan, and will have met all the goals outlined.
Please review the plan carefully and then take the survey, which asks your opinion about each part of the draft plan. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. The deadline to take the survey is Sunday, December 9.
On December 13, 2018, the final meeting of the Strategic Planning Team, the team will review all input and finalize Focus Forward Together: the District 34 2019-2024 Strategic Plan . Members of the team will present the plan to the Board of Education at the January 14, 2019 meeting; the Board will take action on the plan at that meeting.
El equipo de planificación estratégica del Distrito 34 se ha reunido cuatro veces en los últimos cuatro meses. Los miembros del equipo han analizado en profundidad las percepciones del personal, los estudiantes, los padres y la comunidad sobre el D34 y sus deseos para el futuro. Hicieron una profunda inmersión en los datos sobre el estado actual de nuestro Distrito y han investigado las tendencias educativas, las mejores prácticas y las ideas visionarias.
El resultado de su última reunión, el "Retiro de la Dirección de Establecimiento", es este proyecto de plan estratégico. El plan guiará el trabajo del Distrito durante los próximos cinco años.
