City of Des Plaines issued the following announcement on Nov 30.
The City of Evanston will host a hiring event with Tovar the Snow Professionals on Tuesday, December 4, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Morton Civic Center, Room G300 (ground level), 2100 Ridge Ave., Evanston. There are a variety of seasonal snow removal opportunities available through April 15, 2019. Those with a Class B or Class C CDL license could qualify for year-round employment.
Tovar the Snow Professionals is a background-friendly company looking to hire hard-working men and women age 18 and older. The pay range for seasonal positions is $16-$26 per hour based upon experience and access to a vehicle. However, a vehicle is not required for employment.
Work hours are primarily in the evenings and/or overnights. Positions are also on-call and dependent upon inclement weather. Paid training is provided for all new hires. Interested candidates should bring a valid photo identification (state driver’s license or ID card).
