State Senate race: Republican Rooney wins voter tally in Wheeling Township Precinct 28

Tom Rooney led Democrat Ann Gillespie in votes cast in Wheeling Township Precinct 28 for the District 27 state Senate race, according to the latest vote count.

Rooney appeared to outpace Gillespie by a margin of 3.4 percent on Tuesday in the precinct.
