Tonia Khouri, 49th District candidate for state House of Representatives, posted a new video on YouTube exposing the amount of money spent to try to re-elect her opponent, incumbent Karina Villa (D-West Chicago).
The ad opens with two figures: $750,000, on Monday, Oct. 29, and $1.25 million, in total. It goes on to say that those are the amounts Democrat House Speaker Michael Madigan invested in the race.
Next, Khouri says, “I’m working really hard to fight back against this Madigan Machine to make sure they don’t take over DuPage and Kane county. But I cannot do it alone. I need your vote on Nov. 6.”
In Tuesday’s election, Khouri, a Republican, will face Villa. The 49th District includes Aurora, Batavia, Elgin, Geneva, Naperville, St. Charles, Warrenville and West Chicago.
