CITY OF EVANSTON: Participate in Mayor Hagerty's Holiday Card Contest on Oct 21

City of Evanston issued the following announcement on Oct. 1.

Calling all young Evanston artists! Have you ever dreamed of your name up in (holiday) lights? Mayor Hagerty is seeking a talented, local young artist to design his holiday card. Mayor Hagerty will review the designs personally and select one winner. Physical cards will be distributed, as well as a digital version emailed to City eNewsletter subscribers. The winning artist will be credited on the back of each card and in the eNewsletter.


  1. Artist must be an Evanston resident and be of K-12 school age.
  2. Art should remain secular.
  3. Cards should conform to a standard greeting card size (5x7 in).
  4. Art must be at least 300 DPI in order to ensure image quality.
  5. Files must not exceed 50mb.
  6. Art must be emailed to with the subject line: Mayor Holiday Card Submission/YOUR NAME.
  7. All submissions must be received by Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 8 p.m.
  8. The contest is limited to one submission per person.
