City of Evanston issued the following announcement on Oct. 1.
Calling all young Evanston artists! Have you ever dreamed of your name up in (holiday) lights? Mayor Hagerty is seeking a talented, local young artist to design his holiday card. Mayor Hagerty will review the designs personally and select one winner. Physical cards will be distributed, as well as a digital version emailed to City eNewsletter subscribers. The winning artist will be credited on the back of each card and in the eNewsletter.
Rules:
- Artist must be an Evanston resident and be of K-12 school age.
- Art should remain secular.
- Cards should conform to a standard greeting card size (5x7 in).
- Art must be at least 300 DPI in order to ensure image quality.
- Files must not exceed 50mb.
- Art must be emailed to holidaycard@cityofevanston.org with the subject line: Mayor Holiday Card Submission/YOUR NAME.
- All submissions must be received by Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 8 p.m.
- The contest is limited to one submission per person.
