Glencoe School District 35 recently issued the following announcement.
Glencoe School District 35 is offering early childhood screenings for Glencoe children birth through 5 years of age. The screenings are open to Glencoe residents who have concerns about their child’s development in the areas of: speech-language, fine motor skills, concept development, and/or social/emotional growth. Vision and hearing screenings are also provided for children 3 years and older.
Screenings will be held at South School on Monday, October 22nd and Wednesday, October 24th from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, by appointment only.
Children will participate in all components of the screening. These screenings are being conducted in an effort to identify children who may qualify for special education services and/or consultation during early development. Please note, the screening is not designed to determine kindergarten readiness. To make an appointment, please contact Kim Badie in the Pupil Services Office at (847) 835-7838. Please call by 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 17, 2018.
