CITY OF ROLLING MEADOWS: Electronics and Document Destruction for Residents - Oct 6th at Public Works

Shredded paper(1000)

City of Rolling Meadows issued the following announcement on Sept. 7.

As a courtesy to SWANCC community residents who have sensitive documents to destroy, such as medical records, tax forms, bank statements, etc., the Agency provides seasonal Document Destruction Events from May through October, hosted by member communities.

Paper documents must be brought to the event in either paper shopping bags or boxes - NO PLASTIC BAGS - please! There is a limit of six paper shopping bags or file-size boxes per vehicle. Paper must be free of contamination, such as metal clips, plastic sleeves, folders, and binders. Also, please have your ID ready, as staff will be checking each vehicle. Workers will remove paper from vehicles to place in carts. Then documents will then be loaded into the shredding truck. The paper will be cross-shredded, baled, and eventually recycled into new paper products.
