Glenview Community Consolidated School District 34 recently issued the following announcement.

Developed in partnership with the Family Service Center (FSC), and with clear guidance from your input on the parent education survey last spring, D34 ParentConnect will provide ongoing, valuable, meaningful education, resources and discussion opportunities for parents. There are two primary connections:

• Large-group presentations on topics that are important to parents.
• Monthly discussion groups for parents to connect around topics of interest, learn about mental wellness resources, and discuss how to implement helpful ideas into their own lives.

Mark your calendar for the first presentation on October 3 from 7:00-8:30pm at Attea: Children & Anxiety:  Considerations for Mindful Parenting. Then, plan to attend a discussion group; they are held on Thursdays starting October 4. There are morning and evening sessions, and sessions for parents of all age groups.
