Schaumburg Park District issued the following announcement on June 25.
Free outdoor entertainment is coming to a location near you!
Schaumburg Park District’s Street Theatre is a paid summer traveling drama group for ages 16 to 25.
Held outdoors at locations throughout the District, the free performances add a humorous twist to traditional tales, creating a fun atmosphere for all ages.
“Street theatre is good family entertainment,” said Beth Waller, cultural arts supervisor. “Sometimes the audience participates and it gets even more exciting.”
Performances run through July 19. This year’s lineup of plays includes The Clown Prince, Daze of Olde and Mother Goosed. Plays begin at 7 p.m.

- Addams School, 700 Springinsguth Road- June 4; June 18; July 2
- Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road- June 6; June 20; July 3
- Blackwell School, 345 N. Walnut Lane- June 7; June 21; July 5
- Bock Park, 1223 W. Sharon Lane- June 11; June 25; July 16
- Town Square Amphitheatre, Schaumburg and Roselle roads- June 13; June 27; July 18
- Meineke Park, 220 E. Weathersfield Way- June 14; June 28; July 19
