The calls in Mt Prospect included 67 fires - 22 structure fires, seven vehicle fires and 38 other fires. The fire department also responded to five calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

The calls resulted in three civilian fire-related injuries. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents and one was injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Mount Prospect Firefighters Pension Fund, which has 71 active employees and 85 retired or inactive employees, was $1,846,231 in debt as of December 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $45,030 for every fire in 2016.
