Cost of college went up for all students at University of Phoenix-Illinois

Tuition and fees rose 0.9 percent for 2017-18 at University of Phoenix-Illinois, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $9,926 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year $86 more than the $9,840 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 20 students received grants or scholarships totaling $117,282 and 20 students took out student loans totaling more than $161,341.

Including all undergraduates, 404 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.6 million. Another 251 took out $2.48 million in federal student loans.
