NORTHBROOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT 27: Meeting for Private or Home-Schooled Parents

Northbrook Elementary School District 27 recently issued the following announcement.

Timely and Meaningful Consultation meeting is scheduled for May 30th at 11:00am at Solomon Schechter Day School for parents of special education students who are home-schooled or attend private schools.

In accordance with the requirements of Section 612(1)(10) of the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004, all parents of special education students who are either home-schooled or attend Solomon Schechter Day School are invited to attend a meeting to discuss District 27's plans for working with students with disabilities during the 2018-2019 school year.

The meeting will take place at 11:00 a.m. on May 30th at Solomon Schechter School, 3210 Dundee Road in Northbrook.

A public school district is required to utilize a portion of its Federal Part B special education funds in order to provide students with disabilities who attend private schools or are home-schooled within the district the opportunity to equitably participate in special education services offered by the district.
