Mr. Sivertsen grew up in Chicago. He has been married for 43 years, has a few children, and has resided on Austin Avenue for the last 32 years. His license is currently inactive which is held in Wisconsin. He has been involved in past Variety Shows at Field School. He found it to be a wonderful experience to be named Chairman and asked to design the Ronald McDonald House at Wyler’s Children’s Hospital.

When asked, he indicated that he would not be able to serve both commissions, Historic Preservation and Appearance Commission; he prefers to serve on the Appearance Commission. He was referred to the Historic Preservation Commission by Sharon Bollinger and knows Ellen Upton. He attended a recent Appearance Commission meeting and found it welcoming that the Chairman interacted with the applicant. As an attendee of the meeting, he did not know enough to make any suggestions at this time. He did indicate that any suggestions made by the board could impact the cost of a project. He spoke about the uniqueness of the homes on the block which he lives.

He has not had a chance to read through the Urban Guidelines. Chairman Mazzuca suggested, if selected, he should read them since that is the conversation among the Board.
