Report: Morton Grove spent $13,953 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Morton Grove School District 70 is up 10 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $12,721 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,953 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 893 to 913.

Morton Grove's spending in 2016-17 was 8 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
