Stevenson High School grad and Villanova hoops star Jalen Brunson has capped his NCAA title-winning career by declaring for the NBA draft.
In a letter to “Nova Nation” recently published by ESPN, Brunson thanked Wildcats teammates and coaches for helping him “grow as a man and establish lifelong relationships.”
Brunson indicated he has already hired an agent, making his decision to leave the program ironclad.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound point guard was named national player of the year during his final season at Villanova, averaging 18.9 points, 4.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds.
For his career, Brunson averaged 14.2 points at Villanova.
He is projected as a late first-round or early second-round draft pick, according to CBS Sports.
At Stevenson, Brunson averaged 23.3 points, 5.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.6 steals during his senior season, leading Stevenson to the Illinois High School Association Class 4A title and earning him Illinois Mr. Basketball honors.
