Analysis: Winnetka pays $4.53 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Winnetka Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.9 percent of the $1,595,571 the Winnetka Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.53 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Winnetka contributed $1,307,493 to the fund, which saw a $183,834 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $288,079, or 18.1 percent, in 2016.
