Analysis: Streamwood pays $3.61 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Streamwood Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.3 percent of the $2,895,240 the Streamwood Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.61 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Streamwood contributed $2,265,811 to the fund, which saw a $552,523 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $627,142, or 21.7 percent, in 2016. Another $2,287 came from other unspecified sources.
