Analysis: Skokie pays $2.08 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Skokie Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 68.5 percent of the $3,225,424 the Skokie Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.08 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Skokie contributed $2,208,070 to the fund, which saw a $19,017 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $1,059,517, or 32.8 percent, in 2016.
