Analysis: Mt Prospect pays $3.96 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Mt Prospect Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.9 percent of the $4,048,571 the Mt Prospect Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.96 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Mt Prospect contributed $3,232,887 to the fund, which saw a $334,349 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $815,684, or 20.1 percent, in 2016.
