The National Republican Congressional Committee has put Illinois' Jeremy Wynes “On The Radar” in its Young Guns program.
Wynes is a Republican seeking election to the U.S. House in Illinois' 10th Congressional District.
“Getting put ‘On The Radar’ is the first step toward giving voters in the 10th District new common-sense leadership to overhaul the tax code, rein in wasteful spending and create more jobs,” Wynes said in a press release. “I look forward to ending (Rep.) Brad Schneider’s partisan partnership with (Rep.) Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) that is hurting the district.”

The NRCC requires those selected to reach goals throughout the election as a way to make sure they communicate with their districts, achieve funding and are competitive.
The “Young Guns” program was co-founded by U.S. Reps. Eric Cantor (R-VA) and Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and now-Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) during the 2007-2008 election cycle. The program identifies and recruits Republican candidates across the country. “On The Radar” is the first of three levels in the program.
