Lincolnwood FD responds to 26 fires in 2016

Lincolnwood Fire Department responded to 261 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the North Cook News.

The calls in Lincolnwood included 26 fires - nine structure fires, five vehicle fires and nine other fires. The fire department also responded to three calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $131,301 in fire loss - or about $5,050 per fire.

The department also received 235 false calls.

One fire service member was injured in non fire-related incidents.
