The calls in Prospect Heights included 45 fires - 25 structure fires, six vehicle fires and 11 other fires. The fire department also responded to three calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $411,205 in fire loss - or about $9,138 per fire.
The department also received 319 false calls, including seven malicious calls and 312 other false calls.
One fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents and one was injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Prospect Heights FPD Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 15 active employees and two retired or inactive employees, was $69,848 positive as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $1,552 for every fire in 2016.
