The calls in Northbrook included 105 fires - 49 structure fires, 13 vehicle fires and 32 other fires. The fire department also responded to 11 calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $939,470 in fire loss - or about $8,947 per fire.
The department also received 800 false calls, including 16 malicious calls and 784 other false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury. Additionally, three fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents and one was injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Northbrook Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 69 active employees and 53 retired or inactive employees, was $1,528,985 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $14,562 for every fire in 2016.
