A. 4th of July Parade Report and Award Presentation Staff will provide a financial and logistics report on this year’s 4th of July Parade. In addition, staff will present awards to the first place parade winners of each category judged at the parade.
B. Flooding in Areas with Rural Cross-Sections Presentation Department of Neighborhood Services Director Colby Basham will be responding to resident concerns regarding overland flooding in areas of the city lacking curbs and gutters (commonly referred to as a "rural cross-section”). Initiatives and Other Items
C. Consideration of Victim of Crimes Act Funding to Extend Grant Funding from the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority Law Enforcement and Prosecutor-Based Victim Assistance Program through December 31, 2017 (Extension of $30,203 grant; $7,551 in-kind contribution) Objective: Extend grant funding to continue domestic violence support services to the community until December 31, 2017.
D. Consideration of Agreement with Stryker Corporation for Mechanical Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Devices ($72,000 grant / $7,200 matching funds) Objective: Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of fire department members by the purchase of mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices to assist with cardiac arrest patients
