MONDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2016 AT 6:45 P.M.

Acting City Mayor/Liquor Commissioner Maloney called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m.

I. Roll Call

Deputy Clerk Peterson read the roll call and the following members indicated their presence:

Comm. Baldi, Bowles, Flyke, Greisbach, Svanascini, and Liquor Commissioner Maloney. There was a quorum.

Deputy Clerk Peterson recorded the minutes.

II. Approval of Minutes

September 19, 2016

Moved by Comm. Flyke. Seconded by Comm. Bowles.

Motion carried; voice vote.

III. Citizens Present Wishing To Be Heard On a Non-Agenda Item

IV. Non-Member Aldermen Wishing To Be Heard On a Non-Agenda Item

V. Action Items

A. Review a Class R Liquor License Application for Pickwick located at 1 South Prospect Avenue and recommend its approval to the Liquor Control Commissioner to issue an additional Class R Liquor License

Moved by Comm. Flyke. Seconded by Comm. Svanascini.

Konstantinos Sarantopoulos introduced himself. He has been in the restaurant business for four years (Dappers, Chicago) and has now purchased the Pickwick Restaurant. He plans to open the first week of November.

Motion carried; voice vote.

Final approval will be brought before the City Council later in the evening.

Deputy Clerk Peterson explained that Mr. Sarantopoulos’ license fees were prorated accordingly for 2016. However, he is still required to submit his 2017 application by the end of October.

VII. New Business

The majority of members agreed to meet on November 21 at 6:30 p.m. to review Liquor License Renewal applications for 2017. Deputy Clerk Peterson indicated that she would get materials out to the members a week prior to the meeting. The fallback date was December 5.

The meeting adjourned at 6:53 p.m.
