The Frontier League recently named the Schaumburg Boomers baseball team as its Organization of the Year for 2016.
“This is a very special award as it recognizes our entire organization and their efforts in delivering a unique, professional product every day,” President and General Manager Pete Laven said. “On behalf of our owners, Pat and Lindy Salvi, front office, coaching staff, players, and game-day employees we are very honored to be rewarded by the Frontier League and its members with this great award.”
The team has averaged 3,557 fans per night, which is the best in the league. That average attendance is up almost 500 fans per game this year.
This is the second time the team has been honored with the award. It won in 2013 as well.
