Northbrook Plan Commission holds application review

The Village of Northbrook Plan Commission met at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2.

The Plan Commission is comprised of nine members, who must be residents of the Village of Northbrook. The Plan Commission shall have the following duties and responsibilities:

Hold public hearings and make specific recommendations to the Board of Trustees concerning the preparation of and amendments to the Comprehensive Plan for the present and future development and redevelopment of the village.

Review specific development application requests as established in the Zoning Code and Subdivision & Development Code, including, but not limited to the following requests:

Rezonings, Special Permits, Subdivisions, and Variations, when associated with any of the above.

To aid and assist the Board of Trustees and the departments of the village in implementing general plans and in planning, developing and completing specific projects.

A. PCD-15-02: 2990 DUNDEE ROAD. (Third Public Hearing). An amended application by William Apostolakis as operator of a business on the property commonly known as 2990 Dundee Road which is owned by Chicago Title Land Trust Company as Trustee u/t/a dated 5/12/11 a/k/a Trust No. 8002357181 for the purpose of: A) A series of text amendments to the Northbrook Zoning Code pertaining to the requirements and standards for the O-5 Restricted Office District, which amendments include, but are not limited to: (1) revisions to the purpose statement; (2) allowing additional commercial and office uses by special permit; (3) allowing the total area of all signs to not exceed 50 square feet; (4) allowing businesses to be opened until 9:00 p.m; (6) allowing more than one business to operate on a property; and (6) increasing the permitted maximum lot coverage from 50% to 85%; (B) Special permit approval to allow the construction and operation of a single story multi-tenant office building to be utilized by a subset of uses allowed by special permit in the O-5 District, as requested to be amended above; C) Site Plan Approval; and D) Approval of such other zoning and subdivision relief as may be necessary, including a front yard variation to accommodate proposed parking spaces.
