Park Ridge Mayor's Advisory Board to conduct interviews for boards, commissions

Board will interview volunteers for the board of fire and police and Civil Service Commission on Monday, April 4.

The City of Park Ridge Mayor's Advisory Board will be conducting interviews beginning at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, April 4, in the Finance Conference Room at City Hall.

There are two vacancies available on the Board of Fire and Police and one vacancy on the Civil Service Commission.

Thomas Farinella, George Tamvakis and John Duggan are returning board and commission members, while Mark Anderson is a new volunteer. Anderson previously served as a Park Ridge alderman and the Public Safety Committee chair. Anderson has applied for the Board of Fire and Police and the Civil Service Commission. He is an experienced attorney with a history of pro bono and volunteer work.

Farinella and Tamvakis have applied for reappointment to the Fire and Police board, while Duggan has applied for reappointment to the Board of Fire and Police and the Civil Service Commission.

After the interviews, the advisory board will deliberate on the volunteers and prepare its recommendations for the mayor and City Council.
